The competition
STUDENT FORMULA
Founded by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) in 1978, the Formula Student challenge offers the opportunity for engineering students from all over the world to develop their knowledge of design, manufacturing and marketing through a real exercise, that designing a single-seater.
The Formula Student is an international media event (BBC, Daily Express, etc.) enjoying a very high level of innovation and optimization framework.
The tests take place in three distinct parts: homologation tests, static tests on the one hand and dynamic tests on the other hand. Following the static and dynamic tests, each team is credited with a number of points in relation to its performance.

TARANIS Project
Introduction
Students of the Automobile Performance option in the 5th year of the National School of Engineers of Metz, our project is to create a racing single-seater to participate in the prestigious competition Formula Student.
With this project, the ENIM is therefore one of the 5 French teams participating in this championship.
Objectives
After a full year, with in particular the achievement of a podium in Spain, and the gain of a hundred places in the world ranking, TARANIS is going electric.
This year, that is the real objective of the MRT.
Presentation of the School
The ENIM has been installed since the start of the 2010 school year in its new buildings on the Technopôle de Metz. Students and teaching teams benefit from an exceptional working environment combining quality, aesthetics and exemplary functionality.
Schooling at ENIM is divided into 5 years between the preparatory cycle and the engineering cycle.
